Welcome dekobane, we really appreciate you taking time to answer a few questions for us. Would you like to introduce yourself to the readers as well as your style of music?
Hi im Dekobane you can call me bane.
I don't really ever stick to one style of music because it's just in my nature to experiment so I don't really know who is similar to me in that sense. I'm based in the greatest city in the universe, Manchester.
So bane, when did your journey into music begin and were there any inspirations to start?
I think around 2021 I started seeing hella ppl making music on BandLab and I downloaded that shi just for fun to try it out. I wouldn't really say that I was inspired by anyone to start music cause it's something I've always loved I just hadn't thought about making it myself until that point. Actually I forgot say but it sounds crazy but I probably wouldn't be making music like I do now if I ain't hear Yeat in 21. I know that sounds odd but it's hard to explain so maybe another time.
With a catalogue of tracks that seem to ALL be hits, what would you say is your favourite song, and what would you say is the most underrated of them all?
It's probably a cop out to say this but my favourite song is always something unreleased or what I'm working on currently lol. And for any of my supporters seeing this trust me you're in for some special music. But to answer your question l'd say my favourite song I've released is seen it all and an underrated one is Pill Playtime.
Is there a piece of advice you have heard/been given or even your own piece of advice you think the readers NEED to hear?
For any creators reading this, when you hit a block and you're stuck, you thought you had an idea but now you don't know what to do. Just take a break and live life, go talk to friends, watch a movie or something. People forget that just living your life brings fresh inspiration.
Have you got any goals set for 2025?
I'm tryna release a project and get a couple videos this year if I can do that I'll be happy.
Is there any announcements you'd like you give that are coming up?
Not really but if you're still reading this I love you.
Our slogan here at Macabre is ' Embrace The Unknown'. Have you got any examples of a time you've made the jump out of your comfort zone? Music related or not?
Honestly this music shit is all unknown territory for me. I started by chance and I've learned purely by experimenting. I never watched any tutorial or had any connections so everything I'm doing is out of my comfort zone to be honest.
Final question bane, what would be your dream event to perform at?
Honestly I've always wanted to perform in a smaller venue like a closed in place idk. That big ass stage shit just ain't for me idk yet though.
My opinion could change...
